 VOZES DA MATA is an immersive binaural sound project exploring relationships between time, ecology, collective life and possible futures, developed during Po:era’s artistic residency at the Goethe-Institut São Paulo in November 2025. 

Seven compositions for Zona da Mata, the institute’s garden, draw on local stories and exchanges with artists and cultural practitioners who helped shape its ten-year history. The works weave together voices, memories, human and non-human presences.

Experienced through headphones, the compositions invited visitors to listen to the garden through reality, memory and speculation, opening up reflections on belonging and different ways of inhabiting time, space and life together.
