re:natura is a non-profit artist collective, music label and experimental laboratory with a clear, shared vision.


What if a day lasted for centuries?
What if societies had to migrate with the light?


CALADRI is a speculative world-building and literary project at the interface of astrophysics and anthropology. At its center is a human-settled exoplanet orbiting the star Ranae, conceived not as a mere backdrop but as a planetary thought model: a world whose physical conditions fundamentally transform how people perceive time, orient themselves, move through space, remember, and organize society.

Caladri orbits Ranae in 42 Earth days and rotates nearly synchronously with its orbit.  However, a minimal difference exists between the orbital and rotational periods. As a result, the sun drifts across the sky so slowly that a complete solar cycle takes approximately 712 Earth years. There are no days. There are no seasons. Instead, a twilight belt shifts across the planet's surface across generations, and human life follows it.

The project explores how these extreme planetary conditions (near-synchronous rotation, wandering climate zones, ecological niches in perpetual dusk) shape coexistence, cultural memory, and the exchange of knowledge between societies. Inspired by the worlds of Ursula K. Le Guin and drawing on real climate models for exoplanets around K-type stars, CALADRI invites us to rethink human survival, the perception of time, and what it means to live alongside one another across centuries of slow change. The science-fiction setting aims at reflecting on urgent ecological and social questions here on Earth.

Audiences are invited to explore Caladri's night sky, listen to stories about two human societies in constant migration, and join open world-building sessions that reimagine intergenerational communication and memory in a world without days.
